Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure...

***All Products Received. Complimentary from influenster***

I recently recieved the Sally Hansen Total Knock Out VoxBox. It featured three Complete Salon Manicure polishes. After reading about the supposed benefits of the polish I decided to try them out. The polish is supposed to act as a base coat as well as a top coat, so for the integrity of testing the product, I did not apply either. I only used the polish and nothing more. I must say that my nails did feel more firm than normal, probably becaus another one of the proposed benefits is a nail strengthener. So far I have worn it for three days and am noticing virtually no chipping or wear at all. The only difference I can see is that there is a very small amount of edge wear, but you wouldn't notice it unless you were really looking for it. The polish is also supposed to have a gel-like finish and I must say that it is rather shiny considering that it does not have any top coat over it, which normally adds an obvious amount of shine to the finished look. I am super impressed so far and can't see how the other colors apply. Check out my pictures from the first three days and see how well it is holding up. I am definitely going to be purchasing more.

Pastel Nail Art using Nail Art Society Studs...

Hello ladies! Recently I purchased the Kleancolor Pastel set. I have been coveting these polishes for a while since I am such a fan of the Kleancolor metallics. As soon as I swatched the polished I knew that I had to use Pastel Teal for my next mani! Today's look incorporates this polish, along with items from previous Nail Art Society kits, and a few other items. Let me show you how you can achieve the same look...
First paint all nails, except your accent nail, with a pastel blue color. As I mentioned, I used Kleancolor Pastel Teal. Kleancolor polishes are very affordable and can be found many places, including eBay, for about a dollar a bottle...they are well worth the money in my personal opinion.
Next paint you accent nail with a full-coverage silver glitter polish. I used Dimepiece by Floss Gloss for my accent nail. This was the December polish in my *much-adored* Nail Art Society kit "The Great Glitzy."
On my pinky nails I used a blue and purple glitter-bomb called Frenzy by Sinful Colors. I used a sponge and applied the glitter in a gradient, getting more intense toward the tip of the nail.
I then used the neon purple studs from October's "I <3 Studs" Nail Art society kit and placed six studs down the center of each thumbnail. I then placed a top coat over them to hold them in place.
On my middle fingers I used this adorable pastel purple bow with a rhinestone in the center. I purchased these from Amazon. I placed a small dot of super glue on the bow to hold it in place. Usually this makes the bows stay on my nails for about 4-5 days if I am careful. Then if they come off I simply re-glue it if I am not ready to change out my mani yet.
When done, I used Seche Vite to top it all off. Of course you can do any variation of this mani using any color! Happy painting! :)
